OYSTERS

Supply of live Sydney Rock Oysters is steady with most of our farms open again after wet weather closures in June. Our growing network of SRO suppliers from Camden Haven in the north to Pambula in the south means we can optimise quality and availability of all rock oyster grades ranging from cocktails, smalls (bottles), mediums (bistros), large (plate) and X-large.

Live Pacific Oyster supply from Zippels Oysters in South Australia is limited to a small quantity of Plates and Standards.  Ironstone Oysters from Tasmania are coming online with Standards and Larges available now and Plates becoming available in 3 – 4 weeks time. Quality is consistently good from both suppliers.

‘Jurassic’ Pacific Oysters, unique due to their large size, are available live from the Clyde River in the following grades: limited availability of XXL (210 – 259g), good availability of both Jumbo (260 – 319g) and Grande (320g+)

SHELLFISH (PIPIS)

The new harvest season for Goolwa PipiCo begins on the 10th July and this season presents a great opportunity to grow pipi sales with a strong supply of all pipi grades available in a range of live MAP and loose formats. Please note that live MAP Pipi carton sizes have increased from 10kg to 12kg and that the new pricing schedule comes into effect from the 10th July. See ‘Product of the Month / What’s New’ post for July about Goolwa PipiCo’s new Ready To Eat product.
