The Camden Haven, with low flood area, mild climate and clean, salty river ensures excellent condition, taste and texture of oysters as well as an extended season for consumption. The relatively small catchment of the pristine Camden Haven River is ideally located in the middle of the growing range of the native Sydney Rock Oyster. Oysters are grown in a natural disease-free environment and have been selected for disease resistance as well as flavour and quality.
The key ‘hands –on’ team for Camden Haven Oyster Supply is Tony, Kerry and Justin. Tony Troup has been the owner and operator of Camden Haven Oysters for around 30 years. He has a Master of Science degree and is actively involved in the oyster industry. Kerry has been working with Tony for over 15 years and is the Farm Manager. Justin works on all areas of the oyster farm. The Camden Haven Oyster Supply team are committed to producing a top quality oyster and work hard to maintain quality consistency throughout the harvest season.
